Editor of the Strange Maine Gazette, and others now defunct such as: Baby Mandelbrot, Poetry By Request, Bad Cakes zine, Poetry Comix zine, etc etc.

Have been known to frolic and otherwise consort with Slappy the homicidal dummy, and other ilk.

Illustrator. Printmaker. Book artist and book maker. Every 3 years I seem to turn up at PBI (Paper & Book Intensive!). At PBI 2005 I learned how to be a MAD SCIENTIST!!! Thanks, Dr. Spelker.

You should learn more about The Strangeness of Maine!!! I insist.

I am fascinated by abandoned sites, strange woods, creeping fogs, and all things spooky. Got a tip for a trip? You should tell me.

Latest News: 2009 is already packed full of art with no signs of stopping. Amsterdam beckons (only a week until April 8th when I leave!), and I have a new Fuji Finepix s8100fd camera to play with on the trip, so expect great things! Busy but good. Started a new job in December at the University of Southern Maine among good people, so though I'm sad to leave the library, I feel lucky. And the bills are getting paid, which is a BIG BONUS.

Past Pondering: I am finding an interesting dichotomy in my work. While I am in love with creepy, spooky, and terrifying things, my work tends more towards the cheery and attractive. I didn't notice that until recently, when it was brought to my attention by the fact that I had little or nothing to contribute to such Flickr groups as Creepy Nature, Repulsion, and Dark Tourism. Even most of my cemetery photos were taken on sunny days and have blue skies and green grass in them. I am not sure if this is a form of defensive conditioning (I was forever trying to work on more general material while I was at school to ensure my work was judged on its merits rather than being dismissed as "goth" etc), or if it is just an interesting imbalance in my portfolio.
