I'm a computer consultant by day, but by evening and night I have a secret desire to do photography. Hence the name Sparetyme Photography, because I do this on my spare time.

I've been taking pictures for about 5 years, but really started getting serious about photography probably about a year ago. I want to be better and possibly do some professional work as well.

I'm in the process of building, purchasing, etc my equipment. I'm currently using a Canon S3 IS, but hope to make a SLR purchase in the next couple of months. Due to an unforeseen issue (someone broken in my car and stole my camera) I was forced to purchase the DSLR, I was waiting to purchase.
