A Cuban born and bred journalist -nationalized Spanish- but I believe I could have been born anywhere.
I have a Bachelor Degree in Journalism from Havana university and a Master's Degree in News Agency Journalism from EFE News Agency. I have worked as a reporter for Juventud Rebelde (Havana, Cuban newspaper), EFE News Agency (Madrid, Spain) and 20 minutos Malaga (Malaga, Spain) from where I was made redundant as a result of the economical crisis which is still beating Spain. I tried to make the most of that and since March 2009 I have been seeing a bit of the world.
I first moved to New Zealand, where I lived for nearly a year, and continued travelling until July 2010, when I decided to settle down for a year in the beautiful countryside of England.
Last summer I embarked on the greatest adventure of my life so far, to travel through South America and be able to recount the ups and downs on a blog. The journey started en Chicago, on August the 26th.
