Hi everyone!
My name is Dan and I live in Vernon, CT (I'm originally from Bedford, NH). During the day, I am a web developer and currently work on projects for Hewlett-Packard. I've been making pictures for the past 4 or 5 years and am 100% self taught. I purchased my first DSLR (Nikon D80) two years ago and have really enjoyed it! I currently have two lenses (18-200mm VR and a 50mm f/1.8), an SB-600 speedlight, and a Cokin P Series graduated ND filter kit.
I also have discovered the joys of post-processing. I do all of my processing using Adobe Photoshop CS3 and Adobe Camera Raw. On the rare occasion I'll also use Tiffen's Dfx2. I am currently evaluating onOne's Plug-in Suite 4.5 to see if I can make use of that and am also planning on picking up an Epson Stylus Pro 3800 printer in the near future.
My shooting style tends to lean towards landscapes and old architecture. If I go out somewhere different, I'll try to take my kit with me. I enjoy being outdoors and so my photography reflects what makes me happy.
I've done my learning through book reading (Bryan Peterson's books as well as "Adobe Photoshop CS3 for Photographers" by Martin Evening (ISBN-13: 9780240520285) are indispensable!), website tutorials and networking with fellow photographers like yourselves! Please feel free to take some time to browse through my sets and leave your thoughts and/or constructive criticism. Please keep in mind that all of my images are copyrighted and are not free for commercial use! If you would like to use one of my images, please contact me with the project details and I will be happy to help!
I am always happy to share whatever I have learned and look forward to being inspired by your fantastic work!
Thanks again!
Best regards,
Dan
