There are maybe 3 or 4 photographers on Flickr whose work has changed my own – changed the way I see photography, and what it can do. Lori Blair is one of them. She's a wonderfully sensitive photographer and model; but for me, what makes her unique is the way she combines images with words – especially in her photostories. Her narrative gifts are just astonishing. Sometimes her stories delight me, sometimes they disturb me – sometimes they do both at once – but they never, ever fail to amaze me. I first found them a year ago, and I still don't know anyone else (on Flickr or beyond) who can do quite the same thing. Make no mistake: this is a real artist at work here, and she's inspired me more than I can say.
