-Improper use of any of my images will be reported and copyright laws used to protect them. I hold the copyright to every single image posted here by me and have taken the further step of formally copyrighting most of my work to ensure that my registered works may be further eligible for statutory damages and attorney's fees in successful litigation. That means that if you steal my image, I will have no problem getting an attorney to take care of it for me because, under federal statute, YOU will be the one that ends up eating the cost of the legal fees. (And, I like that.) These laws set forth rules not only for compensatory damages...but punitive (punishment) as well, which can easily be 10 times that amount.

I value my copyright and the value of my images and prohibit any use of my images without my written permission. Do not copy, display, sell, publish, duplicate, post online, turn into a screen-saver, print, or make derivative works based on my images without my express WRITTEN permission. My images are the copyrighted property of Dan Dillon (contact me via flicker email), and there are no exceptions regardless of what is posted on the image, near the image, or anywhere on the page with the image. My photography is available for license via agencies or by contacting me directly.
