When I began following Danielle's stream, I assumed she was a seasoned pro. Her composition and use of light are amazing. She has such a great eye and her photography hi-lights the natural beauty in everyday objects. I knew that I could learn a lot from her but I was too intimidated to ever comment. However, once I did comment, Danielle graciously responded to my questions and has helped me and offered advice. To me, that is part of what flickr is all about.... sharing and critiquing and learning from one another. Danielle is not only a great photographer but she seems like a supportive and encouraging flickr friend too.

The first time I saw one of Danielle’s photos - it was of her little brother’s scooter - I was struck by how strong and clean the composition and colours were, and the way her image was both nostalgic and contemporary, and communicated a timeless quality of ‘childhood’. Since then, I’ve watched with admiration as Danielle has consistently produced images that delight and surprise with their beauty, wit, and style. I look forward to checking her stream each day to see her latest creation! Because of the sophistication and quality of her images, I expected Danielle to be an old[er] hand at photography - and I was surprised to discover that she is just starting out, while also managing the day-to-day parenting her young [and very cute] daughter, Zia. I’m so impressed! As a contact, she’s genuine, generous, and warm - her comments are encouraging and supportive - and humorous. It’s been a real pleasure to learn a little more about Danielle.
