I've always been interested in music, especially live music, and love going to gigs and festivals.

After finding a little digital camera on the floor at the Leeds Festival one year, which I tried to hand it in but the stewards just told me to keep it, I started taking pictures at gigs and fell in love with trying to capture the moment, the energy of a live performance and the feeling I always get when I'm in the middle of a crowd at a gig.

Two weeks after buying my first serious camera, a banged up second hand Nikon D50, I got my first photo pass and have been hooked ever since covering dozens of gigs across Leeds and Manchester.

I shoot, write reviews and do the occasional interview for a few of the local webzines including Vanguard and Tasty and have just started contributing to the excellent Vibrations.

I'm available for any kind of photography work, be it live, studio or on location promotional portraiture, and can be contacted by email at d.r.heaton@gmail.com or directly through my website at danielheaton.com.
