My passion for selling happened by accident. I had never sold a thing in my life up until the moment I was put on the phone and asked to call a number an try to make a sale.

 

Turns out I wasn't all bad at it and thus my journey began.

 

After a couple of years working in Business Development I can humbly say I still have a lot to learn but I can also presume I have learned a thing or two along the way.

 

I've spent hours reflecting on what makes me a natural Business Development professional and on what makes a true salesman altogether: it's the genuine wish of helping someone reach a goal or fulfill an objective.

 

This is the foundation of my selling technique, my motivation to sell comes from the heart, not from the wallet and this has helped me achieve long term business relationships with my clients, even after they are not my clients anymore.

 

I tell my clients all the time; when I do business, I do business for life and 90% of the time, that's exactly what happens. The genuine feeling I have to help them achieve an objective, or overcome an obstacle, gives them a feeling of overwhelming trust in me, instead of the instinctive distrust feeling people have when dealing with a salesman.

 

All my clients know from the beginning, that I will not succeed every single time in helping them achieve their results, but they know I will do all I can to try, and for them that's good enough.
