Welcome to my Flickr nature photography page. My personal web page is www.EwertNaturePhotography.com
Most of my photos are taken at dawn or dusk. Ninety-nine percent of my photos are single exposures. The exception is when I use a wide angle lens to take a landscape photo that includes the moon. I then have to shoot the moon with a longer focal length so that it is big enough to be seen. The other exception is for star trails photos. Sometimes I have to take multiple images in immediate succession to avoid excessive noise issues when shooting star trails. Although I have no objections to HDR, I do not use that technique myself for my shots
The vivid colors seen in my photos often result from shooting long exposures during the best light of the day at dawn or dusk. If you are interested in learning advanced landscape photography techniques, I recommend reading "Nature Photography" and "Landscape Photography" by Tim Fitzharris.
My images have been published in a variety of publications and venues that include Nature's Best Photography Magazine, National Geographic Traveler, Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History in Washington D.C., The National Wildlife Federation, The Nature Conservancy, The Natural Resources Defense Council and MSNBC.
Please do not save or use my photos in any way unless you get my permission first. To purchase a print or to view more of my photos, please visit my personal website. Please feel free to critique my photos. I appreciate all of the comments I receive on my photos on the Flickr site--even ones that are critical.
I am presently shooting with the Canon EOS 5D Mark II. Many of the images in my portfolio here were taken with the original 5D. Thanks for dropping by and please check out my website if you get the chance.

He's secretly employed by National Geographic and sponsored by Canon ;) Kidding aside, Daniel is a remarkable photographer with an obvious love of natures beauty and light. What talent !

I'd say that Daniel is one of the best photographers on Flickr. I am extremely impressed with his work. I wish he lived nearby so that he could give me some of his helpful hints on photography. Great work Daniel!!!
I'm going to jump in and be the first of what I know will be a long list of testimonials Daniel will be stacking up. I'm going to jump in and be the first of what I know will be a long list of testimonials Daniel will be stacking up. Pretty much has the "wow" factor covered and it's time I broaden my vocabulary to cover the work that just sings through his photostream. I look at alot of images - he stops me in my fast track through flickrland. I find myself wrapped up in his world and going back over past faves too. A real gem of a photostream. Impressive work...keep it coming!
