Hello. After almost 30 years as an advertising photographer, environment in which I've been fortunate enough to win a few awards from the main international festivals, I felt a need to renew my view, get some fresh air, and, after having spent so much time inside my studio, I felt attracted by the closeness to nature, in spite of the limitations of living in a city with more tan ten million inhabitants.
At first I took it as an exercise and a small challenge, and to carry on with it I went for a walk with my camera and just the one fixed lens. This limitation turned out to be really interesting since it forced me to attune my view, in search of a good result.
In this first adventure I imposed myself the concept of "composing in camera" (I've only cut a small percentage of the material), and avoiding retouches in postproduction, except for the basic variables of exposure and contrast. This concept, a tad "old fashioned" maybe, is to me a small homage to the great masters of the previous non digital era.
"To paint with the light", and old definition of Photography, was my premise.
What you can see today in this site is the result of the first months of this seek. I will be constantly adding new projects, probably a bit more urban-like or using the tools for lightning that have accompanied me for many years.
I hope you will enjoy it and join me in the pleasure of what I'm sharing. All comments on what you see will be more than welcome!

Few image makers catch my eye anymore. Your work inspires me to want to make fresh images like I did when I was a boy. You have the true eye of the pure photographer and the instinct Cartier-Bresson spoke of.
