The first time I picked up a camera and took photos, I fell in love with the shadows, reflections, and the ability to capture a moment in time that would never occur again. I still have the very first photo I took those many moons ago.

I have now been shooting for over 27 years. I do commercial and color work, although my heart lies with fine art b&w. I am published and shown, and have shot everything from lemons to real-life princesses.

Until recently, I have shot exclusively on film unless otherwise requested. For me there is a texture, a presence, and a tangibility to emulsion that no digital ink or paper is able to duplicate. I do not digitally enhance or manipulate my fine art photos for color or the forms within.

As commercial photography greatly benefits from the efficiency of digital technology, the head shots I take are now digital. I use photo editing software to achieve the effects I used to create in the darkroom.
