A middle-aged librarian and new photography student, living and shutterbugging in Maryland.

Equipment:

I started with a PURPLE Nikon S210, and took a short class in digital photography in the summer of 2008. I quickly learned that, if I want to do the hobby any justice at all, I needed to upgrade to a better camera. I keep the point-and-shoot for the video capabilities, and for the convenience (it fits into the smallest of my pockets).

Now, I have:

Canon Digital Rebel XTi

Kit Lens (18-55mm, non- image-stabilized)

EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS Zoom Lens

EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS (Just got it!)

Canon Normal EF 50mm f/1.8 II Autofocus Lens

With these, I have two Sunpak Tripods (one tabletop on for the little camera, and one large for the dSLR

I have ultraviolet filters for all my lenses. Have learned that polarizing filter was a waste of time for right now.

I also have, for the Canon, a little remote control that I can use, as I am the queen of camera shake, apparently. With this camera, this is the only way I can shorten my delay from 10 to 2 seconds.
