I grew up in a setting where it is not surprising that an appreciation of nature and the wonders of the world became part of my roots, though I would not have thought so when I was young.

While on family vacations, I wanted something to occupy myself - thus the interest in photography started. Later in life I put down the camera.

Then I needed something more in my life - stimulation - and travel was the medicine. This time travel helped me rediscover my camera and so it makes sense that my photography has mostly been of the travel photography genre, but since I am spending more time in London, I have taken the time to work with lighting people and observing this great city.

I find photography on sites like this inspiring and hope to make a contribution to that.

On Flickr, I tend to keep a small collection of images rather than a vast endless collection. What you see here has mostly been photographed since late 2009.
