Ah...in the midst of midlife, and finding newness to create and explore everyday! So much art and so little time. I have a wonderful supportive husband Paul, a adorable poodle Abbie, and a squishy cat named Pearl.

I have a AA in Fashion Design, with a minor in History. This was a natural to lead me to Bridal design, although at first I thought I was going to work in museums or theatre. I designed my first bridal headpiece for my college roomie, Ginger. Then that led to another, and another.

I had jobs in bridal shops inbetween other jobs. From 1989 - 1997 I had my own design studio in my home, designing wedding gowns, bridesmaids and mothers of the bride, specializing in plus sizes. In 1997 I was invited to join the staff of one of the top bridal salons in Lancaster County, PA, Classic Weddings, as manager and buyer. Ah, this was my dream job for 5 years. The experience of working with in the commercial market gave me unique insights as a designer to my private clients, and inside knowledge of how the industry really works. Sadly, my relationship with Classic Weddings came to an end when I became ill with a neurolgical disorder that has kept me from working outside of the home, and my husband's job relocated us to another part of the state. (Elizabeth Wertz, I am forever grateful for all that I have learned from you, and II miss you!) Erie, PA has provided new blessings, and new design influences. Beach glass! Paul collects it, and I drill it and make jewelry. Beach glass has provided an entirely new outlook of design for me, a chance to design jewelry that is more organic. I also enjoy combining unexpected materials with the beachglass, such as freshwater pearls, gemstones and swarovski crystals. Just to shake things up a bit!

My interests include knitting, antiques, knitting, pearls, knitting, blues music, knitting, antique automobiles, knitting, beachcombing and beachglass, knitting, and collecting fine yarns, and, oh yes, knitting! Inbetween jewelry projects there are always several knitting projects going at the same time. At least one pair of socks, and always a prayer shawl is on a set of needles.

I am a supporter of www.columnofhope.org, and

www.wishesandrainbows.org organizations that work very hard to provide research and support for those who suffer from Arnold Chiari Malformation, Syringomyelia and their related disorders. I am a very passionate fundraiser for both organizations.
