I just love overcooked post processing of an image. A lot of people dissed overcooked post processing as not being original. As everything but photography. To me the camera itself is not a representation of what we actually see in real life. With all those ultra-wide angles and fisheyes and also the plethora of lens filters. In a way the usage of these lenses had somehow distorted the image and this is not what we would actually see.
Take for instance a long exposure shot of the ocean. It's already a distorted image from the actual view. Slow sync flashes? Light painting? So on and so forth. Just name it.
And I haven't touched the dodging and burning, cross processing and myriads of techniques photographers applied in the dark room yet... And I could go on and on...
