I'm from the desert suburbs of Tucson AZ, now happily settled in the big city of San Francisco CA.

I studied health policy and now work in behavioral research and advocacy. Outside of work my passions are plants, gardens, and habitat restoration; bicycling; art and architecture; making and listening to music; and understanding history and global cultures.

Most everything I know about photography I learned from a semester of photography in high school.
