I am a husband, father, musician, photographer, printer, and retro computing nerd.
I started in photography as a child toting my dad's Nikkormat camera around. One Christmas, my parents gave me a Kodak Disc. After high school, I rediscovered photography with a used Vivitar V-335 SLR and a handful of Fuji film from the Walgreen's pharmacy down the road.
My current photo equipment lineup includes:
• Mamiya C330 6x6cm TLR
• Mamiya RB67 6x7cm SLR
• Nikon FM and Nikkormat FTn 35mm SLRs
• Pentax ZX-50 35mm SLR
• Shepherd DM-170 incident/reflected light meter
• Giotto's MT9170 tripod with MH1001 ballhead (strong enough to hold up that RB67 mentioned above)
• Beseler 23CII enlarger (the blue model)
• Epson Perfection V600 flatbed scanner
• Macintosh computers with Adobe Photoshop CS3
• Bags of film - primarily Ilford B&W, Fuji color slide/transparency, and Kodak Vision3 color negative
• Many shelves of accessories - cable releases, filters, loupes, trays, tanks, reels, etc.
I operate the following flickr groups:
• Cibola National Forest, Sandia Ranger District
I've also am starting into digital astrophotography. I probably won't post much of that, however, since I live in a Bortle 8/9 zone, have a neighbor with a bright floodlight that invades my backyard, and have lots of obstacles (houses and trees) that interfere with my view of the sky.
Please do not use my images without permission. Send me email for information on acquiring prints or image rights.
