Yes, I've gotten around. But I regret not having done it on my bicycle. My dream is to get across several land masses not yet on the map above on my bike, camera installed on the handlebars and a trailer to pick up found detritus along the way. Sure, I'll keep a text log, but the heart of what needs to be told will be through pictures.
