I began working in metal clay in 2007. After a couple of years, I started feeling confined by the material’s possibilities and limitations, and decided it was time to learn traditional silversmithing techniques. Making this my New Year’s resolution, I jumped right in and began learning everything I could. With the two techniques combined, I feel that there is an endless world of possibilities to explore!
I live in Utah with my husband and our two dogs. We have many old industrial areas that are no longer, or barely used and are now being encroached upon by trees and grasses. The contrast and combination is quite striking. These are the things I find inspiration in: organic and industrial forms, and in the unpredictable nature that results in the combination of both.
