In-der-Welt-sein

I am a graduate student in Philosophy at Brandeis University. I graduated from Montana State University with degrees in political science and philosophy. The story is the same for everyone on flickr, and it is no different for me: In the summer of 2005, I had the privilege of visiting China and some of the most cognitively and aesthetically astonishing scenes of the world. Recognizing the need and desire to document my travels, I borrowed a camera. In the beginning of 2007, I started posting photos to flickr. I have since been heavily and increasingly interested and invested in photography, constantly acquiring new techniques and methods.

"Photographs really are experience captured, and the camera is the ideal arm of consciousness in its acquisitive mood" -Susan Sontag

"You must always be puzzled by mental illness. The thing I would dread most, if I became mentally ill, would be your adopting a common sense attitude; that you could take it for granted that I was deluded." -Ludwig Wittgenstein
