Born in England 1944, emigrated in 1975, reached South Africa in 1976. Left South Africa 2008 for south France. Have been photographing butterflies since April 2006, very poorly in most instances. I am also taking snaps of the area around my new home, which is in such a lovely and peaceful region.

First camera for the photostream: Panasonic DMC-FZ5. Have been using a Canon 500D since late summer 2010 with the standard lens (Canon EFS18-55), a Sigma 10-20 mm 1:4-5,6, and a Sigma 150 mm 1:2,8 macro. Manfrotto Neotec 458B tripod for macro work and HDR.
