Since the 1980s, photography has been one of my greatest passions.

I am a computer engineer, now retired. A cardiovascular accident profoundly changed my life: I lost my sight and became a wheelchair user. But some things have remained untouched: my curiosity, my desire to create and, above all, my enthusiasm for continuing to learn.

Two years ago, I set myself a new challenge: to learn to play flamenco guitar.

For someone who cannot see, it is not an easy path. Learning where the strings are, feeling each position, internalizing the chords, and finding the compás without being able to look at the guitar turns every small step forward into an achievement.

But I am still here: string by string, chord by chord, compás by compás, hoping that one day my hands will be able to say through a guitar what my eyes can no longer see.

And photography continues to be a part of who I am.

Today, my wife Clara is also my eyes. Following my directions and with her help, together we bring to life the images I imagine, building this little photographic world of ours.

Because you can lose your sight, but not necessarily your way of seeing.
