I was privileged to happen upon Håkon's work online through Flickr. I was immediately struck by his unique talent for capturing the essence of the living subjects he chooses. There is glorious detail in his photography but each photo also conveys the soul of the subject, somehow communicating something deeper about its being that goes beyond its visual appearance. If as they say "All of creation professes the glory of the Creator," we have photographers like Håkon to thank for capturing that testimony and reminding us that there is beauty all around us...we just have to look closer.
