Ok first of all, if you have seen my photostream you notice an overly abundant amount of Disneyland images...I am a certified DIsneyland nut, and don't apologize for it, haha! Besides, living so close as I do, how can anyone resist the never-ending beautiful subject matters there?
Photography has been a hobby of mine, or integral with other hobbies of mine since I was a kid with a 110 instamatic.
My first "real" camera was a 35mm Minolta XD-7, a gift from my mom and dad for my 16th birthday. That XD-7 served me well for 20 years and saw many airshows, hunting trips, and vacations until I replaced it with a 35mm Canon EOS with, "GASP"....autofocus!
Eventually, digital photography took over and I began using a slew of "PowerShot" style cameras from Olympus, and Canon until I could afford a decent SLR. This also initiated the Photoshop learning experience, which really is never-ending...
Recently I discovered the joy of post-processing in the digital realm and and most notably HDR photography. I have been very busy lately learning what I can of HDR photography and my photostream reflects that journey of learning along with changing preferences and styles.
I look back on the earlier images and laugh today, but leave them posted as a sort of visual learning curve...
I also enjoy sports photography, especially my two son's baseball and soccer games as they have grown. It has been a real joy photographing them at play through the years. My youngest is now a junior in high school and has decided not to play baseball on the school team anymore which has been a little hard to get used to after so many years having early winter through late spring here in California being full time baseball...Now it looks like I will have more time for photography...
Recently I have been asked to host some seminars dedicated to beginner HDR...I am taking this project head-on with great anticipation and hopes of meeting many new people!

I can honestly say, without hesitation, that if it were not for Gregg Cooper, I would never have gotten into landscape photography....or at the very least, it would have taken me a lot longer to find my way here. I looked over Gregg's shoulder for about two years as we shot Disneyland together on a regular basis. It was Gregg that suggested the camera strap, the wrist strap, the L bracket, the tripod, the HDR software, etc, etc. And most importantly, it was Gregg who casually asked "Have you ever thought about heading down to Laguna to shoot?" One trip to Laguna and I was off to the races with the Landscape Photography. Some 10 years later, after meeting Gregg for the first time, I am traveling the world looking for landscape opportunities wherever I can find them. I owe all of that to Mr Gregg Cooper. I think we can all agree that Gregg's photography speaks for itself. Always vibrant and sharp and very, very clean. Even though I don't hang around Disneyland as much as I used to, I ALWAYS look forward to new photos from Gregg. I consider it a privilege to call him my mentor and my friend.
