For some years I have been using a trusty Canon Powershot G5, but after taking over 1000 photos on a trip to New Zealand, it simply stopped one day. I am looking forward to some great results from my new Canon 1100D. I also use a compact Olympus SH60 which I find more convenient for general photos. When I bought my G5 it was considered rather exceptional but now our mobile phones have become quite adequate for general purposes.
