I am a jazz saxophonist and graphic designer who enjoys discovering the parallels between visual art and music. I especially love the intersection of images, text, typography and design.

Now that I have access to decent equipment and resources, I am also indulging in a life-long interest in photography, both as an artistic exploration and as a complement to my design endeavors.

These photo sets represent this intention as well as being a basic document of some of my travels and activities.

A note about the Lima, Peru set:

In April, 2007, I performed with the Seattle Women's Jazz Orchestra at the Lima Jazz Festival . SWOJO performed at three festival venues--Satchmo on 4/9, an out reach concert in La Victoria on 4/11 and ICPNA on 4/13. In addition, I performed 4 rehearsals and 4 concerts with the Festival Band, comprised of 7 Peruvians, 9 musicians from SWOJO and 3 L.A. people. (Note: the photos of me playing with the bands are via jazzperu.org and toddnordling.com--I take no credit for those.)

Enjoy!
