My talented photographer father fostered a love of photography in my sister and me. Our first 35mm cameras were purchased in Singapore in 1963, when I was 13.

Exhibiting a knack for candid portraiture in my early teens, won ribbons in my junior high photo club shows. Roomed with a fellow photo buff in my early 20's, escaping into the darkroom once a week as a break from young motherhood. In my early 30's, went back to college, studied photography as part of a fine arts major.

Coming from a traditional film & darkroom chemicals background, I'm THRILLED with the sophisticated digital equipment & software available today. This technical revolution has inspired me to hone my eye, to experiment & express my way of seeing the world. And is challenging me to master my equipment...which hasn't been my strong suite.
