I've had a passion for photography since my early 20's but like many others, it got put on hold by the busyness of life. In 2001 I was diagnosed as Bipolar. About a year ago, with a change of medication and again feeling more like my old self, I started rediscovery of my long ago born passion. It is my therapy.I am addicted. It is through much love and support of my family especially my husband that I am able to pursue my long ago dreams.......
I so enjoy travel and always take pictures along the way. I enjoy motorcycle rides with my husband. I have lived in the following states: Tennessee/Missouri/North Carolina/ Texas/Alabama/Idaho/Georgia.
The most interesting year of my life was the year we lived in Singapore and truly experienced the Asian side of life.

My Sept 2006 Road Trip has been like a dream come true. I've traveled thru Arkansas, Tennessee, Kentucky, Illinois, Iowa with sight seeing at Rock Island Arsenal and the dutch town of Pella. South Dakota where I experienced a walk thru tour of an 1880 Settlement, wildlife at Custer State Park and the Rugged Beauty of the Needles Highway. Wyoming: I had the incredible experience of viewing Devil's Tower and driving two different scenic drives, one of which was the Bighorn National Forest. After a night in Red Lodge, Montana, I drove the Beartooth Parkway and experienced some breath-taking sights. I continued on to Yellowstone N. P. for more grandeur and was rewarded with many buffalo and elk sightings and shots. During my visit with son in Idaho Falls, Idaho, I've taken some wonderful Fall Foliage Scenes, taken my grandchildren to the Zoo and Yellowstone Bear World and took a side trip alone back to Jackson, Wyoming and the Tetons National Park. The last week-end in Idaho, I took my son and his family up to Montana to the ghostown of Bannack. (On the way home, we sadly saw 21 road side crosses in 20 miles of highway. All straight stretches, no deep ditches. I guess the wildlife is main cause at night with young drivers.) A few days later, it was time to head south again towards my home in Texas. Snow prevented me from traveling along the base of the Rockies, like I planned, from Laramie, Wy down to I-70 and then thru Denver. I drove south on I 25 to Raton, New Mexico and then into Texas where I visited Palo Duro Canyon and Caprock Canyon State Parks before arriving home.
I guess for the first time in my life......I'm living as if I was dying. It's a shame we don't learn that earlier in life.
my favorite thought: " Give yourself permission"
Why do I call myself cyclewidowpatti?
When my husband first satisfied his 20 year passion with a motorcycle........he rode every day after work and every week-end.....I saw so little of him I almost felt like a widow. Now things are more balanced but the nickname has stuck. LOL

This is a very social and friendly photographer. She has many, many wonderful photosets. Take your time to peek around, it's worth it. She seem to have special talents for Butterflies, Dragonflies and animals in general.
