I come from a long line of strong headed, crafty Irish women and I think I really embody each of those things!

I just started ‘Cuz I Felt Like It! about 6 months ago. It all began when a friend asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up and at 31, I had no answer.

I’ve always said my dream job would be one where I could have pink hair, all the tattoos I wanted (which I do now, but long sleeves in 100+ degree weather not so fun!) and still make a decent amount of money. So far, that hasn’t happened! That one question had really got my rusty wheels turning…..”What do I want to be when I grow up”?

I started with what do I think I’m good at that I enjoy? Well, there’s drinking, rollerskating, making cool things with my own two hands and cleaning (not so much these days though!).

There’s no money in rollerskating, just bruises…..drinking, that just leads to more rollerskating…….cleaning, I tried that (and BANKED big time!), but then 9/11 came along and it just became too unreliable and I’m a stability freak!……Then there’s making things with my own two hands. I could see the fun in that and maybe some money along the way! They say “If you enjoy your job, you’ll never actually work a day in your life”…..That’s what I’m striving for!

I was sitting on my front porch talking to my husband at about a million miles a minute about all of my FANTASTIC ideas. He just looked confused. He finally said, “why are you doing all this?”…..my answer…..”Cuz I fell like it!” and TADOW…..the name was born and it was PERFECT! I had planned making cute felt creations and whatever else I felt like doin’!

I started out making things that I would want to buy. Then my kids pitched in and started drawing some creatures they wanted me to do. Right now, my favorite thing I’m doing is my Battle Scarred Bears. They started out as cute in a sad sorta way bears, but after reading an article in People Magazine about a man that went off to war in Iraq and didn’t come back the same as he left, the Battle Scarred Bears were born! The bottom line with them is that we all have scars, some inside, some out, but no matter what, we all still need love.

Right now, my future’s so bright I gotta wear shades and there is still MUCH MUCH more to come in the near future! Check in with me often, you never know what you’ll come across!

I’ll end with the famous words of Rev Run “In life, God gives to the givers and takes from the takers”. Genius, pure freaking genius!
