Odd how life twists and turns. I try not to get hurt by it, and when I inevitably do, I really try not to linger in that pain. I figure better to get past it and ready up for the next heart wrenching that is no doubt coming and will blindside me; it's just a matter of time. No one needs help remembering those types of moments in life. I try to move quickly away from people that insist on dwelling in the unchangeable misfortunes.
So, in-between those low moments I try my hardest to have a good time, make great memories and surround myself with people that help me remember my good qualities, allow me to tell stories based on my sweet memories, and contribute in a positive way to the addition of new delights.
I am Sara and take photos and I now make unique wire jewelry for expression of the soul. I hope they help you to remember, re-experience, and have hope for more good things to come.
I was an Invertebrate Zoologist Student for many more years than most (1996-2002 for undergrad, 2002-2006 for masters, 1 year off to teach anatomy, and then 2007-2014 for PhD attempt). I had to walk away from academia due to mostly bad decisions on my part throughout my college career, but also because of unforeseeable events that were out of my control came with bad timing. But I have few regrets and cherish all that I learned and was able to be a part of in all those many, many, many years! Plus, I did get some great photographs and micrographs out of my time served.
I then worked for 8 years at a rice mill for my dear friend, up until he unexpectedly passed away February 2023.
I have made jewelry since ~2010 and found wire weaving in ~2015. I have been obsessed with wire ever since!
I used to take really up-close photos (macrophotography and scanning electron micrographs) of really small details of nature. Then I began taking pictures of machines and rice mill equipment, mostly. Now am trying to learn how to take pictures of my jewelry and I am sure that I will get better with more practice!
