I've been watching Hilary's work since the old Fotolog days. I've seen her really come into her own style and the growth in her skills and talent is amazing. Her work has a down home feeling to it, with the charm of yesteryear teased forth by her eye and the treatment of her subject matter. After viewing her art I always take with me the warm feelings of nostalgia. She is a gracious woman and it shows in her work!

During my time here on Flickr, I've met many souls from all over the planet and while many are kind, there are few that can hold a candle to Hilary. During my time here on Flickr, I've met many souls from all over the planet and while many are kind, there are few that can hold a candle to Hilary. Just an amazing woman who not only takes beautiful photos, she's encouraging and is never selfish with kind words. I've never told her before, but I do find myself peeking at her stream and trying to reverse engineer her shots in my head to help me develop as a better photographer. If she lets you into her life, smile. You won't be disappointed.

.hillary is no natural:she likes harold and maude(a movie I re-watch at least once a year hey did she mention cat stevens?)and bob dylan--damn it!she's one of those special artists we want to define but we are doomed to fail:categorizing compartmentalizing labeling won't work with her but hey i need to write something more palpable about the person who gave me a pro account here (here's one: she's a friend who is also a supporter: sorta modern catherine dé médicis oops no no she's actually a HEALER but she and only she knows that):her pictures depict places we think we see all the time but then as soon as we look at them we are left with the feeling we must stop and look more carefully and there are the most beautiful skies [no one but her has seen them before and ok now we do but we keep asking how where how could she all leading to a final wow]::her 'casa' series brings elizabeth bishop's writings to my mind--or maybe william carlos williams ah dunno::: her mizzERee series is a perfect example of americana with wit and the sharpest eye--nowhere anywhere--alwaysland shh don't be that curious...so hillary is deliberately good (take a look once more) and naturally kind (i'd say sweet i said it i'm being obvious):did i say thank you? not even that oh me and if this needs some editing she's the woman yes she is,
