I come from Prague, Czech Republic, which is the town of my heart and which will always remain my home, although I also love Canada, the country where I spent a year in 2005/6. As Prague opened my eyes to history and tradition, Canada made me understand that there are also other values than history and tradition. That the lack of tradition - in the most general sense of the word - can be liberating and enriching.

I studied Czech and German, and work as a journalist.
