I started to photograph in about 1960. My dad gave me an old Argus C3 & taught me how to use it. I did some darkroom (b&w), moved to Konica SLR's in high school, then a Cannon A1. I took a few photo classes at Mass Art during college years. So, then came work, an old house to renovate & two boys to raise. Needless to say over time the photography was put on hold, the camera grew cobwebs, covered in dust except for the occasional birthday or little league game. The digital age arrived & I jumped in with a few inexpensive point & shoot cameras. Ok for a few years. I found myself getting frustrated over time. I started longing to set an f-stop, a shutter speed, change a lens ... So, in the fall of 2007 I collected all the old photo equipment that I could find from my house & my dads. I sold it all off.(exceot for the C3).

I did a bunch of "research." I talked to friends with DSLR's, read many "test" reports & finally chose a Nikon D80 w/ 17-55mm 2.8.

So, here I am with a lot of support from new "friends" at Flickr, learning it all over again ...

If time allows, look at my photostream & comment. Any help is always appreciated.
