A Back of the Envelope Calculation for the Record:
By 1988, 592 Nobel prizes had been awarded but not won by the Mayor of Simpleton. At roughly 200 grams each, that would have been only 0.1184 metric tons or (@2204.6226 pounds/metric ton) 261 pounds.
Despite the regular implications that rigorous computational competence will likely be the very reason that I end up alone (while loveable, that mayor can be a jerk, sometimes), it is well within my wheelhouse to unravel riddles, problems, and puns, so that is what I mostly do. However, occasionally I need to depressurize. And, while quantitation of sentiment is difficult, I feel that I might need an extra degree of freedom separating the other parts of ME from stuff like the stuff here. There's probably a better balance between professional shame and personal pride, but it's a fulcrum to move slowly.
