My first camera, given to me by an aunt, was a Kodak Six-20 Brownie Model E. The dearth of locally available film for it relegated the box to the back of a cupboard but it's still in perfect working order.
I then graduated to an old Kodak Instamatic which my parents had used for years. I can still remember the smell of the flash bulb popping.
For my first trip to the US I went out and bought a Fuji DL-800 Zoom which had to have the longest battery life of any camera I've owned. I just wish it was easier to scan in all the slides I produced using this.
Next up I saved up for a state-of-the-art Sony Cybershot DSC-F505. Nice zoom but I came to loath the small LCD viewer: in bright light the screen was indistinguishable.
Now I've got my first DSLR Canon EOS 450d. Sooner or later I'll figure out how to use it properly...
