Since 1936, The Community Social Planning Council has led social, planning and community development in BC’s Capital Region. We engage community members, organizations, businesses and government on social, economic and environmental issues and create sustainable solutions.

We undertake research and analyze socio-economic trends to inform residents and stakeholders of emerging issues.

By conducting evaluations of programs, projects and agencies, we help organizations figure out what’s working – and, make a case for future projects.

Community Planning & Development

We manage community and regional planning processes for community services. By designing and implementing asset–based community development processes, we help our clients build opportunities for social innovation.

Engagement

To inform project, program and policy development for our clients, we bring people together to share ideas and facilitate public and stakeholder engagement processes.

Public Education

We deliver different levels and types of public education to build knowledge for our community.

Policy Development

We use our research, learning and engagement expertise to inform policy development and engage with government agencies on behalf of our clients.

Program and Asset Creation

By bringing people together to collaborate on finding solutions to emerging issues, we create and build community programs based on the direct needs of those most affected.
