Born 1956, in the peaceful hamlet of Penge S. E. London, then moving to leafy Orpington around 1969.

I met my future wife Lin through our love of cycling, we were regulars with our local West Kent CTC cycling group.

We moved to the Isle of Wight in early 2000, Lin taught in the SEN department at Carisbrooke High School, Newport. And I, after working in manufacturing on the mainland found work with Royal Mail in Sandown.

Sadly, Lin died of cancer in 2008. We had barely started to live our life together, on the Island that we loved.

Lin died far too young, she was unable to see her grandchildren grow up. So sad.

People thought that I would return to the mainland, where my family and a lot of my friends still live.

I didn't think about it for long.

I had a lot of support from the friends that we had made locally, and I had tremendous support and love from my comrades/friends at Royal Mail.

I retired in September 2022.

Loving it!, still doing lots of walking, trying to get back into cycling (Arthritis) seeing some of the world (whilst I still can)

Loving the sea and the fresh air on the Isle of Wight. I can still be seen lugging a camera around, but have been using my phone a lot recently.

Everything interests me.

I don't claim to be an artistic/creative photographer, I truly respect those who are, I admire their vision.

No, what I usually do is representational or topographical photography, if a subject interests me, I photograph it, sometimes a photo captures what I intended, in a competent manner.

If I was consistently disappointed with the results, I would find another pastime.

I think that I can create a good representational image, but why do I do it?.....Well, because I said I am interested in everything, my photo's are my Aide-memoire, if others like my photo's then I am very happy, but that is not the main reason for my flickr site.

My flickr site, is obviously a showcase, I don't have to post my photos online, but is nice to get some positive comments from fellow photographers, after a while you get to know the work by photographers you admire, I am in awe of the skills so many of my flickr friends have.

Happy snapping.
