I’ve always been obsessed with small things, discarded things, and strange things. When I was a kid, I drew pictures of them. After I got a camera, I took photos of them. At this point, taking photos is a reflex: a record of where I went during the day and what I saw. This site is primarily a journal of sorts, constructed from what I post to Instagram every day.

It’s hard to say exactly what I find so fascinating about the stuff I’m drawn to: junk, insects, graffiti, textures formed by grime. On a deeply personal, inexplicable level, I just think they’re beautiful. And part of it is knowing that most other people don’t see these things. I feel lucky to know about this secret world, and I try to share it in a way that makes it interesting.
