I am a twenty-something year old photographer from Germany, currently residing in Alabama. After graduating, my dear friend and now business partner, founded SimplyBloom Photography, LLC. I am the luckiest and feel quite fortunate, for I get to do what I truly am passionate about for a living. :)

The world around me is my inspiration. I pride myself on my creative energy and ability to see beauty in the most unlikely places. If you open your eyes wide enough, you can see through the “ugly”, and look right into the beautiful. I create images that are classic and timeless, while maintaining a modern feel. I love color but am equally passionate about the aged look; hence all the textures and vintage feel to a lot of my photos.

The people I'm surrounded by inspire me; the ones whom I spend my time with, the ones who teach me and the ones who are with me step by step. They support me in what I do, and love who I am. They motivate me: My family and my friends.

"The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science. He to whom the emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe is as good as dead; his eyes are closed."

-Albert Einstein

Christine is a wonderful picture maker. She has a real talent for putting a figure in a landscape. You've got to take a second look.... or third or fourth.

Christine's eyes were hidden by large, dark sunglasses so there was no way I could tell if the cards she was holding were as good as the $3 million she had pushed into the middle of the table, and thus calling my bluff. I had a pretty good hand, Aces and 8's, but her indiscriminate smile and groomed eyebrows were not giving me any clues. The whole world was watching on TV, so they knew if she had me beat or not. She was cool. I was holding the deadman's hand, and she was sitting there like a statue, not moving, no emotion and not even looking at me or her cards. (I think she was watching the bartender make out with my girlfriend behind the bar, but that's another story). I was ready to go all-in and end this 15 day Poker tournament right here, and right now. I couldn't. I was mesmorized by her concentration and ability to just hold her breath and wait for me to lose. I laid down my cards. She said nothing. She laid down hers. The crowd cheered. She had in fact beat me. She had a full house and the crowd started to cheer. Didn't matter, I had to pee so bad by this point, I just wanted to get out of there. When I came back, she had still not moved. The paparazzi and interviews were about to begin and the only thing I saw come from her lips was a silent "nice hand". I looked at my right hand, and then left, they were fine! Then I realized she was talking about the cards I was playing?! What a dufus! Then again, I wasn't even a poker player. I was tricked into signing up for the tournament by my goofy friend Ernie while I was recovering from my hangover. So I didn't do that bad. But afterwards Christine and I talked over some 2% milk and beef jerky. She told me how poker wasn't her passion it was actually taking photos. She told me of all the inspiration in her life and her childhood in Germany and what it meant to be here. It moved me a lot. I cried. Mostly because I was still really hungover, but also because the way she described things was how her photos turned out. She's a really great woman, and proud to call her my friend on here.

Imagination running wild. That's the first thing that comes to mind when I think of Christine and her work. It's also the best way to describe her art. Immensely talented, Christine is probably the best of the best that I've seen when it comes to making magic when combining her photographs with her creativity in post processing. Her style is defined and is certainly like none other. Thank you, Christine, for the inspiration. I'm so glad to have found you on Flickr.

I agree with statements below that one of the greatest aspects of Christine's work is the evolutionary process she is constantly undergoing, but I would not deem it THE greatest aspect. To me, the feeling she evokes through every single photograph on here is her greatest assest. As a photographer, and even as a human being, Christine appears to have enormous skill in both reading and portraying human beings, be the model herself or someone else. Whether or not it is she in a photograph is immaterial, as each photo seems to be a different human being with a different story to tell. I could literally write an entire paper on Christine's skills! This is my absolute favorite place on Flickr.
