I grew up in Maryland, and was obsessed with drawing from an early age. Having come across a book of concept art for Star Wars Episode I as a kid, I knew right then and there that I wanted to pursue a creative career. Graduating as Valedictorian of Elkton High School, I moved on to Syracuse University to pursue a major in illustration under the instruction of well known professional illustrators like Roger DeMuth, Bob Dacey, John Thompson, James Ransome and Yvonne Buchanan.
During my time at Syracuse, I worked for a number of campus publications as a contributing artist and served as an art director during my final semester of senior year. I also began to branch into writing as I believe that communication skills in both visual and written mediums are priceless in creative industries. I now work as the Managing Editor at fandom.com, an independent anime and manga site, and as a regular contributor to tomopop.com, part of the ModernMethod network.
After graduating from Syracuse with a BFA in Illustration, I began working as a freelance illustrator. I'm always looking for a new creative project, whether freelance or studio based. And as always, I'm constantly looking for that connection between technology, the masses, and creativity.
