In the year since I met Matt HB, I've come to know and respect him immensely as a person and a friend. Only more recently have we learned of each other's passion for photography, and our friendship has only grown deeper and developed into one of mutual photographic inspiration. Always quick with a kind word and positive feedback, Matt has spurred me on to look for the pictures all around me. But never let it be said that he only gives empty compliments; he is equally sure to give constructive criticism when improvements can be made. The fact that he cares enough to give honest feedback means more than I can ever fully express; only through this kind of constructive process can growth and knowledge happen. Beyond these more personal aspects, Matt is a masterful photographer himself. His eye for composition and color is sharp, and he's constantly striving to improve his skills. He's re-entering photography after a lengthy hiatus, but like riding a bike, he never forgot the fundamentals. Mark my words, Matt HB will be one to watch!
