truth be told, i could easily go through and favorite every single one of Don's photos. i contemplated doing it...but then i realized, if i looked at every single one of his photos tonite (which, in the spirit of honesty, i could do without thinking twice), i'd have nothing left to look at tomorrow. and quite frankly, i would be saddened. though, the more i think about it, the more enticing it sounds. however, i think i could very well explode from way too much goodness. what makes his work even better, in my eyes, is he is the nicest guy ever. i had the pleasure of meeting him at the S.F. Polaroid Nerdout and as a testament to his character, he loaned his 55mm red glass filter when i realized i had left mine elsewhere. (hehe which i still need to mail off!! i lag, sorry.) i can't say enough good things about the man and eagerly look forward to every shot he will post in the future, immediate or distant.

Just a few examples: look at his panorama set and learn how it's done; admire his cat photos - perfection in an overworked Flickr field, cruzan's are the best bar none; bird pictures - just his pelicans are flight are jawdropping; Santa Cruz - it's not just a place in a song by The Thrills, it's brought to life here; did I mention flower pictures? Again an overworked cliché area, but cruzan's are among the very best, full of colour and depth; finally, how can anyone have such mastery of that arcane device the scanner? How did he manage to use one to get the best Fender Stratocaster picture anywhere??? www.flickr.com/ph... Simply put, every picture here is worthy of space on your wall.
