CGIAR Research Program on Dryland Systems
Drag to set position!
Dryland Systems is CGIAR's global research program committed to identifying and developing resilient, diversified and more productive combinations of crop, livestock, rangeland, aquatic and agroforestry systems that increase productivity, reduce hunger and malnutrition, and improve quality of life among the rural poor in dry and marginal lands.
Research teams - in partnership with rural communities and countries - are validating technology and policy "packages" for targeted agroecosystems and promoting their scaling-out in the dry areas of five flagship regions: West Africa Sahel and the Dry Savannas; East and Southern Africa; North Africa and West Asia; Central Asia and the Caucasus.
