Its tricky trying to describe yourself... do you say what you think people prefer to hear, or do you speak of who you truly believe you are? A bit of both perhaps.

My passions are quite expansive, yet my specialties are few. My profession is digital animation, using Maya in particular, and for many years this was my passion also. Quite suddenly however I have fallen into the obsession that is photography... it allows me to enjoy the simple moments, or perhaps the grand moments if you look at them that way. I dont find that it is a way of preserving a memory because mine are only mine. Instead it allows me to show an aspect of a past experience. Things that I have seen. And perhaps through manipulation, things that I would like to see. Maybe though, over time my photos will mould my memories to the crop, angle, and frame through which my camera recorded the image.

Life brings me more joy than I could ever predict, or would believe possible. There is of course sadness too, but this only nurtures a deeper understanding of the true purpose and meaning of love, contentment and happiness.

Each day is a new and exciting one, and perhaps my camera will allow me to show that to others. Thats all I hope for with my photography.

When Deeble found me - and I found his work - I found another world. Seeing his photostream was honestly inspiring to me. There is an intimate connection between his subject and himself. Whether it be a person, skyline or impala... you feel the closeness between them and the true admiration that he has for the world around him. Everything seems sacred and savored. I could get lost here for hours and let my imagination run wild. Deeble, thank you for sharing your world with me. There is also truth in your work as well. You would rather capture a natural smile than a manicured grin and I love that. There are so many times where I have seen you call it a "lucky shot" - I dont think its luck - I believe its your sensitivity to the beauty you encounter and your wise eye to capture it....
