Until I got a Canon 40d in 2008, I've always shot on compact cameras that will fit in my pocket. The vast majority of the shots i take are as reference or reserch for film projects, either planned or unplanned. Carrying a camera changes the way you look at the world.

There have been plenty of moments that haven't chosen me, because they've disapeared before i've had a chance to catch them. Then again, sometimes its the ones that get away that stay with you.
