An amateur photographer with a major interest in cuisine and photography. I'm a former culinary student-- hence the term "chef". After too many hours in stressful kitchens, I've decided to take another route; instead, I'll be pursuing a career as a dietitian, and who knows, maybe I can pursue photography further one day. Either way, I'll keep taking photos :).

Lighting, colors, and visual effects(reflections, distortions, etc.) are the main sources of inspiration for most of my photos. More often than not, I'll find myself shooting without really knowing what my subject is. Although, to give myself some credit, I usually figure it out by the third frame or so.

Right now, my only camera is a Kodak Z712 with a fixed 35mm-425mm lens. I have no additional lenses nor any photo-editing software...although that may change in the future.

I'm here to have some fun with photography. Many times I have been inspired by others' work on flickr, and hopefully I can return the favor.

Feel free to contact me about anything: techniques, suggestions, or just a funny story

Alex was one of my first contacts when I first joined Flickr. He has learnt so much about photography and mastered his camera so well throughout this time. His 365 shots are particularly good and he has inspired me. He has a real talent for noticing beauty and art in everyday life. Furthermore he he always posts thoughtful and encouraging comments. He deserves to have his photos viewed and commented on more than at happens at present.
