Creative Identities
Drag to set position!
Here’s an idea! Take £1.2 million, recovered from Scotland’s criminals through the Cashback for Communities scheme, and use it to develop a programme of creative and performing arts activities for about 3,000 young people living in Scotland.
Brilliant!!
Scottish Screen and the Scottish Arts Council thought so too, and Creative Identities was born.
The programme is open to young people between the ages of 10 and 19 who want to tell meaningful and relevant stories about their life in Scotland. These stories will be told through image, video, music or text, and the work will be showcased through exhibitions, presentations and online. All of this is made possible through a range of media and arts partners across Scotland.
Collectively this body of work will provide a rich and many-stranded narrative about Scotland and its young people at the beginning of the 21st Century.
