The Centre for Research Collections is the main space for anyone wishing to use Edinburgh University's historic collections.

The four main collections are:

Special Collections (rare books, manuscripts and archives)

Edinburgh University Archives

Lothian Health Service Archives

Museums (Art Collections, Musical Instrument Collections and Heritage Collection)

Encompassing everything from Incunabula and Oriental Manuscripts to Matriculation records and even the notes regarding the creation of the famous Dolly the Sheep, the rich and varied collection contains a number of treasures, relating to the university, Scotland and beyond. This Flickr account aims to showcase a selection of these rare and interesting documents for the public, allowing users to get a taste of the fantastic materials the CRC has to offer.
