The founders, Victoria Bakken and Lisa Hazell, met through an online craft supply swapping community. They quicky forged a strong friendship based on their love of crafting and eventually discovered they had a common dream to one day start a business.

The idea for Crafty Valhalla came about while the two discussed the lack of easily accessible and affordable craft supplies in many European countries. They realized the potential of a new business endevour to eliviate the situation for crafters through-out Europe. When mentioned to crafters in the area, the idea received resounding support.

Victoria Bakken's previous employment as a Nurse taught her exceptional customer service skills as well as top-notch researching techniques. Lisa Hazell's past managerial experience provided her with the necessary business and accounting skills to start a business. At the time the business idea was discussed, both Victoria and Lisa were not working so the decision to pursue the business venture was made and the two went into action.
